International celebrations of the World Space Week were established by the UN General Assembly in 1999 and are organized annually from 4 to 10 October in the UN Member States.

As part of their celebrations, World Space Week 2018 will take place in Wrocław on 5-7 October, which popularizes knowledge about space and the achievements of Polish entities. It brings together scientists, space lovers, institutions and companies from the space and astronomical sector. World Space Week takes place in Poland for the second year in a row, the previous edition attracted over 1500 people. The main organizer of this year’s World Space Week in Wrocław is the WroSpace association.

During this year’s event, one of its most important parts will be the business section of World Space Week Wrocław 2018. Entities from the industry will be able to present themselves at the fair, the organizers hope that it will be a kind of job fair. There will also be a discussion panel on the condition and future of the space sector. The honorary guest will be the President of the Polish Space Agency – Ph.D. Grzegorz Brona.

In addition to the events related to the business section, the World Space Week Wrocław 2018 will include a number of other attractions, such as a popular science conference, space and astronomical workshops for children, youth and adults, a space art gallery, rover shows, VR, films, a stratospheric balloon mission, an astronomical city game, training for teachers and a competition for schoolchildren.
