27 October 2021, the 12th edition of the conference „Development Trends in Space Propulsion Systems” is to take place. The event is under the patronage of the SPACE PL.

The conference has been organizing for 1999. From this time, it aroused interest among a wide spectrum of participants, including foreign guests. The event has been so far organised by Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz – Instytut Lotnictwa (SBŁ-IL), The Warsaw Polytechnics (PW) as well as the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Science (CBK PAN), interchangeably in SBŁ – IL and PW.

The conference is addressed to scientists, researchers and industry representatives involved in the subject of space propulsion systems. It is also a great opportunity for students and young professionals to meet more experienced researchers and to promote their advances, novel ideas and recent achievements.

The event will be a perfect place to get familiar with ongoing projects and state-of-the-art developments in the international space sector in the domain of space propulsion. Special attention shall be given to the European advancement in the field and the recent Polish contributions, due to the fact, that Poland is becoming one of the hot spots of the European space propulsion arena within several technology niches in the recent years.

The conference will be held in hybrid mode (stationary and online). English is the conference’s language.

The conference areas of focus:

  1. Space propulsion systems (including solid, liquid and hybrid rocket engines and motors, space electric propulsion, components and system level considerations),
  2. Green propellants (including development, handling, testing and utilization of environmentally friendly propellants)
  3. Numerical modeling of rocket engines and motors,
  4. Propulsion systems for suborbital and orbital vehicles’, small satellites, large spacecraft platforms and exploration missions
  5. Test facilities for rocket engines, assembly, integration and verification of infrastructure for rocket and spacecraft propulsion,
  6. Other topics related to space propulsion design, development or applications.
