On the 28th of February in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education an ESA information meeting on the Copernicus program was held.
Copernicus (earlier known under the name GMES) is an European program aiming for global environment monitoring and security applications. The main program user is the European Commission, but the European Space Agency is responsible for the operation and delivery of executive elements of the system (observation satellites, ground stations).
The workshops were dedicated for companies from the space industry, scientific and research and development institutions, which engage in Earth observation.
The purpose of the meeting was to give the answers of funding issues of the program, preparing application proposals and finding partners.
