Microwave and Radar Week 2020 (MRW) has been relocated from Vilnius to Warsaw. The event was previously to be held in May of this year in the capital of Lithuania. Due to coronavirus, the event in Vilnius was suspended. Now we know that it will take place on October 5-7, 2020 in Warsaw. The event will have a hybrid character. Participants will be able to take part in conferences, seminars and meetings both, physically and virtually. As a result of sanitary restrictions, all conferences will be held in large conference rooms.
As a part of the event, QWED company which is a member of the Union of the Space Sector Employers (SPACE PL) organizes two courses relevant to space technologies, such as signal processing:
a) “Short Course on Electromagnetic Modeling” – a course of modeling methods wih case studies of space techniques (filters designed on the base of InventSIM software from Gdańsk as well as diplexers and antennas designed on the base of QuickWave software of QWED),
b) „Materials and Impedance Measurement Techniques” – workshop of the H2020 MMAMA project.
The Microwave and Radar Week 2020 is a series of conferences and exhibitions. It has been organized under the „Microwave and Radar Week” brand since 2004. It comprises a couple of events: the Polish microwave conference MIKON (which began in the 1970s), the radar conference IRS-2020, the signal processing workshop SPW-2020 and the Baltic URSI-2020 symposium.
Program details will be available in early August but registration is open now. The organizer offers virtual participation with a reduced registration fee for participants who are not authors of the works submitted to the MRW.
