On May 7, 2025, Kraków will become the place where space innovations meet the real needs of industry, science, and business. The Space Connect Meetup Kraków event, organized as part of the ESA Technology Broker Poland initiative, will take place at the Faculty of Management of AGH University and will be an opportunity to discuss the use of space technologies across various sectors of the economy.
A meeting of industries, ideas, and people
Space Connect Meetup is a recurring event that connects the space sector with other industries. In Kraków, representatives of companies, startups, academia, universities, and public institutions will come together to exchange experiences, present technological solutions, and establish collaborations.
The conference program will open with presentations from ESA technology brokers, ESA BIC Poland representatives, and startups developing projects incubated under this program. The following sessions will feature experts from AGH University, Poznań University of Technology, Cyfronet, KP Labs, as well as representatives from technology companies and the space sector. Participants will learn, among other things, how to use High Performance Computing, what deeptech technology commercialization looks like, and will discover examples of using materials and sensors in extreme environments.
DEMODAY competition – technology transfer in practice
A key part of the program will be the DEMODAY competition, where teams working on space technology transfer projects will showcase their work. It’s a chance to see the most interesting ideas for using technologies developed for space exploration – and those that can successfully go „from Earth to space.”
Matchmaking – concrete conversations, real opportunities
The event will feature a matchmaking session, enabling participants to hold direct meetings with representatives of space companies, startups, universities, investors, and potential business partners. It’s a moment where ideas gain a chance for realization, and cooperation begins with a conversation.
ESA Spark Funding – support for innovators
Participants will also learn the details of the ESA Spark Funding program, which offers up to €75,000 in non-refundable funding for the development of products based on space technologies. This program supports startups and companies implementing innovative solutions for non-space applications.
