On Thursday, June 22, 2023, representatives of the Polish Space Industry Association participated in away meeting in Zielona Góra. Away meeting was attended by representatives of as many as ten member of SPACE PL entities. The purpose of the event was to recognize the opportunities which the opening of the Space Technology Park will bring to the sector.
The event began with press conference opened by Elżbieta Polak – Marshal of the Lubuskie Voivodeship. Speeches were also given by Prof. Marek Banaszkiewicz and Paweł Wojtkiewicz – President of the Polish Space Industry Association.
There were presentations in the following part of the meeting. The first two concerned the future technological offer of the Space Technology Park, and the action plans of a dedicated special purpose vehicle. As a rule, the Park will operate on market terms. Paweł Ziemnicki spoke about the goals and activities of SPACE PL. Paulina Dębkowska presented space projects in which Hertz Systems is involved.
Afterwards, participants went to Nowy Kisielin, where they visited the finished building of the Space Technology Park. They had the opportunity to see laboratories, conference spaces and even a relaxation room.
The following institutions have contributed to the creation of the Park: the University of Zielona Góra, the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Hertz Systems. However, both these and other entities from the space sector will have equal access to the Park’s infrastructure.
