ICEYE, one of the leaders in the “New Space” sector, provides public and commercial partners with access to current and reliable information from Earth observation using satellites equipped with a synthetic aperture radar (Synthetic Aperture Radar, SAR). The company’s goal is to popularize the use of satellite data, previously reserved for government entities and large representatives of the commercial sector. The satellite imaging service using SAR radar, covering the selected areas every few hours, both day and night is intended in particular for clients from the maritime sector, crisis management, insurance, finance, security and intelligence. ICEYE is the first organization in the world that has successfully placed a SAR satellite with a take-off mass below 100 kg in orbit around Earth.

The Satellite Operations Center in Warsaw is responsible for communication with ICEYE-X1 and other satellites of the constellation.
